Okay, well. My begging to Stefan had a grand reward! (Well, and my begging to Echion ~ Rickard ) . Not only is Fang alive again, *BUT* , I now have unlimited ability to build, etc. new zones and so forth. Formerly, trying to create / add / etc. a new zone was.. inconclusive, but now however, after some edits to the code done by Stefan (thanks in part to me begging in a worshipful manner) , I can create an unlimited number of zones and whatnot.

So, I've basically re-added all the former fight messages, got most of the spell messages working, true power messages are still in the works, however i've been distracted a whole bunch by the DG_Scripts that I never really much of a chance to play around with. Well, that's definitely changed and quite frankly they are very powerful and with a bit of time and effort I believe that i'll have the ability to add quite a bit of neat little effects with them.

So, I went through and mapped the majority of Fang and noticed a really kinda surprising thing. Fang, the world itself, is rather somewhat small and ineffectual. I mean, sure, lot of people put a lot of time and effort and hard work into writing up zones and I've been pleasantly surprised by a lot of it. However, there a quite a few building errors and just, plain bad linking, lack of extra-descs, lack of "interactivity" and lack of general ambience. My plan is (over the course of time) which i have quite a bit off when I'm not working, I'm planning on rebuilding some zones from scratch and leaving a few portals to the "Old Zones" , i'm not going to remove any work formerly done, however I believe that a clean slate for some zones might be somewhat of a good idea.

As there is only me doing it, it's gonna take a considerable amount of time to do it in, but... hell, I have until my death really, as long as I can keep Fang up and running that whole time (which is my plan really.)

Anyways, fixing some stuff on this website, and gonna finish that and mess around with something else.

Doing a bit of work here and there, although I can't say that I'm putting huge amounts of time into this thing.

I've (basically) finished working on the sp_messages.xml (Spell-messages) text file which shows all the groovy messages for when you channel at people. Well, I noticed a few missing and I've noticed a shitload of grammatical mistakes that I am going to go through and fix as well.

I've still got the tp_messages -> tp_messages.xml conversion to do, I haven't even started that.

i think once I finish those two things, I'll go back and add 'variety' , to the fight / channelling / true power .. messages because essentially you can have several messages for each skill/weave that the mud randomly chooses from, and hell, maybe I'll go through and colorize the socials a bit as well, although I can't promise anything about that.

I suppose, after that, I should consider going through all the help messages and fix/rewrite any needed ones, maybe make 'em all follow a similar format cause back in the day ya had several people editing them and they don't all follow a similar look/feel.

Also, there's a bunch of obj/mob/zon errors popping up during boot in the syslog that I'll get around to fixing.

After that, I'll probably work on converting mobprogs -> dgscripts , as you can do all the same things in dgs as with mobprogs , but more.. customizable, although this does require me learning/practicing/getting better at DGScripting, although I have made a couple of neat DGScripts that work.

Once I got all those things done, I'll try and convince the evil swede, Stefan to fix a few issues that are bugging me with the code (i imagine , those things will be way easy for him whereas for me, nigh impossible.. i mean, i'd have to learn C-coding to really be able to do the work I'm looking for.)

Anyways, no new info. I'm just gonna chip away at the aforementioned things until they're done (although this could be a several month process, even a year.. who knows). I'll post more infos later.

So, 'Lo and Behold.. Dragon's Fang has resurrected from the ashes of it's fallen glory. (Or if you prefer, nostalgia has reared its ugly head and once more Dragon's Fang has re-appeared from the ether.)

Some stuff inside the game is, quite frankly totally messed up. However, to the average person, player, etc. , that stuff is invisible, mostly it's stuff that IMMORTALS would see in syslog, if they used some neat XLOG command which appears to have been added after I left the game, heh.

Took me a few minutes figuring that one out. Of course, fight/channel/truepower messages and socials seems to have been screwed by file-formatting. Whatever format they had been at the time, vs. what they were upgraded too, well, I got old versions, not the new ones, so until i find how the files were formatted, well. That's screwed quite frankly.

But, I'm gonna work on doing my best to fix what's broken and we'll see how it goes, Fang will just be there forever really, once I'm done 'fixing' what I can. Anyone who wants to or what, can use it, or email me to get their pfile/equipment/guilds/etc/. all that crap restored to how it was when they left. If someone wants to mess around building, if someone wants to play, whatever. I'll hook 'em up.

Figured I'd make a second post about Dragon Age:Origins ...

Here's a couple of wicked cool screen captures from one of my re-plays with a modded up version of Dragon Age, with some extended skin colors, eye types, eye tints, armor variatons, etc. (Thanks to those modders at DragonAge Nexus.





Thought these looked cool as hell. This is a pretty awesome (close) representation of what I've always imagined my AD&D character Koltûr Azzur Tôl-Amrac to look like, although the clothing, weapons and weapon placement and lack of a cloak alter it a bit, it nonetheless is very visually impressive in my opinion.

And, well. Since we're on the subject of that, I'll (repost) the picture of him that I managed to get through a mutilated, modified version of Oblivion.



This one is cool as well, missing the dual-wield, and Koltûr never used a katana nor rubber suit, but hey, ninja-style Koltûr looks badass as well.

Books? Well, been reading a bunch of Jim Butcher books lately. And am anxiously awaiting the next book... Ghost Story?, or so..
Movies? Been watching a helluva lot of movies, tv series and the like.
Games? PC/PS3/Xbox360/etc. , Nothing much lately, since Dragon Age:Origins & Dragon Age:Awakening, Mass Effect 1, 2, considered (re)Playing my highly modded BG1 & BG2 (BGT/Tutu) install with all the wierd crap, I've (re)started, but I've not gone very far ... interest seems a bit flighty atm. , been playing AD&D (1.0 mixed with some 2.0 / house rules) every saturday lately without fail. Probably gonna be back to DM'ing again soon.
Life? Work, as normal. Food, as normal. Diet, changing a little bit to remove soda and the like and gonna do a bit of jogging to melt off this little belly i've been growing. Everything else is very banal, not much of note.
Anime? Bleach, getting away from filler, *YAY*, Naruto, also getting away from filler. Fairy Tail, getting pretty nice, Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood, also very nice. These are the 4 animes i've been watching weekly. I have an episode of 'Kara no Kyoukai' (#7) to watch, waiting for the next episode of Hellsing Ultimate...
Overall? Nothing new or exciting, therefore no reason to post these informations.

Can't think of anything else to say really. Once I play something new & cool, I'll post more screencaps I guess.

Still alive after all these months of not posting, what does this site do? Well, it just sits here for the most part running and doing nothing else other then sitting there running just cause it can, why can it? Cause, well. It's just a running test thingy.

Since it's old, some of the links are broken, but don't mind those just pretend it's all good and beautiful and everything like that.

Anyways, 1 day til 17 days of vacation (which I can't wait) and I can foresee much beer drinking, hanging out, video game playing, anime watching and much of the like for the first week.

2nd week, is gonna be all about doing certain things around the house such as converting one of the spare rooms in the basement that just sits there as well into a library/office sort of place where the wifey-type can do some work-from-home kinda things in peace and quiet cause i'm not exactly the quiet and peaceful type when she needs it, heh.

Nothing much else going on, however.
If you have not seen it, check out CODE GEASS (season1/2), this anime is spectacular. Also, check into KUROZUKA , also awesome. Twisted and creepy, dark and awesome. Also, check out Bleach and Naruto (of course), TENGEN TOPPA GURREN LAGANN for ultimate power/war/badassness, heh. FULLMETAL ALCHEMIST BROTHERHOOD is also awesome, PRINCESS LOVER is good, CANAAN is good, BAKEMONOGATARI is good, KARA NO KYOUKAI is good, and the list goes on and on and on.

Well, the dosage of QFG2 (remake) , has kinda caused me to start messing around with a wider variety of old dos games (once again.)

Might and Magic 4/5 - World of Xeen , Defender of the Crown, Eye of the Beholder (1,2,3), King's Bounty, Legend of Kyrandia, Lemmings, SpellCraft 101,201,301, Wing Commander, Elvira - Mistress of the Dark and others.

I played a lot of those old games back in the day when they came out, late 80s early 90s , and still have my old disks hanging around. (When I got a game on 5 1/4 disks, i just download an Abandonware? copy of the game.. I don't feel bad, i paid for the game way back when.)

So, i got a lot of old games to mess around with...

So, Tierra Entertainment or AGDInteractive , whichever you want to call them because I think they changed their name, has (re)released Quest for Glory 2 - Trial By Fire (amazing!), and after (re)beating QFG1 (oldschool EGA graphics, using DosBox), I am about to Embark on QFG2 with my exported character.

Okay, after intermittent problems with the site, i did manage to find a rather good (and usable) backup of it. I'm hoping that this one doesn't get screwed too soon and that it'll continue to be up until *I* take it down, rather then whatever gremlins have been getting into my PCs, and so forth.

I briefly used a SMF-forum site for a bit, but that thing doesn't seem to work out as well as my old site, so , back with the OLDER-BETTER, and out with the NEWER-WORSER .. heh

Well, since I've quit Everquest 2, i've noticed an inordinate amount of time to get back into various hobbies aside from that particular game. There's so many games I have to play, movies, anime to watch, and various other things to do.

I just recently completed Neverwinter Nights 2: Storm of Zehir (After (re)playing the other two expansion packs that I had previously completed.) and Frankly, although I didn't exactly enjoy this third installment (expansion pack), I liked the other 2 previous ones, but the story was decent and I can say that it was worth playing if only to see some of the interesting things they have done with the game. (Although, I must admit that overland map thing, is something that's been around in video games since say.. well, a long time in console RPGs. Basically, reminded me of old Final Fantasy 7.)

I just (re)installed NWN1, though I dunno if I can make myself go back to playing it, and I have also installed "Thief-Deadly Shadows" which I have had for some time, but never got around to playing with.

I've been reading a lot (of course), just re-read Phule's Compnay and Phule's Paradise, 2 books by one of my favorite authors who sadly took a dive last year, and assuredly he will be missed. Actually, i also re-read several of his earlier works as well, the "Thieves World" series which he was the editor on, with Lynn Abbey and had a whole bunch of great authors and stories in those books.

Also, just yesterday I watched the movie Altered States which I haven't seen for quite a long time, and as usual, this movie was fantastic!Anyway, I've got nothing else to say, so...

Site went down, and is now up again. Old server pc took a dive, using a different one now.

Can't say as I have posted here in a long-ass time, but I must say that I still host the site and I still host the email server and FTP server and all that shit off my home computer (contrary to any bullshit stated in the user agreements by comcast's terms and agreements of service, because quite frankly... in my own opinion, comcast cable service is pretty much a big pile of shit. If i had the ability to have Qwest where I am at, I would take them, as 1.) I have never had any errors in service from them, 2.) They provide a better level of service for the enterprising pc user guy. (Static IPs & higher upload bandwidth, to name a couple of things), 3.) It's not comcast .. heh.)

Anyway, off from my rant there. I have successfully managed to complete Ninja Gaiden on Xbox after a long break from playing any sort of console video game because i was sooo addicted to EQ2 to do anything else but play that game (and work, sleep, eat. and those sorts of things) but, now that i have kicked that particular addiction, i notice that i have ungodly amounts of free time that I am attempting to fill in.

I've taken to (re)-reading just about every book I own (which is a considerable number of books actually), and I've taken to watching a lot more movies/tv than i normally do, watching a crapload of anime that I haven't been keeping up with, and of course, going back to old games that i bought and played a little bit, then put down. Of course, some games on Xbox are still hard for me to play considering their overall lack of "fun" and "content", but i am trying to play them as I spent the money on them.

My Xbox 360 crapped out and I guess I am going to have to get service on it, of course, the warranty has expired and it's probably something as little as a dvd-rom drive replacement which of course, i could do in like 15 minutes if I could get the fuckin shit myself. Heh. Dammit. So, back to regular xbox games. (And PS2 or GameCube). Prob is, I'm having a dilemma of which games to play. I 'm tempted to go back and play Shinobi now that I 've managed to beat Ninja Gaiden, cause Shinobi is along the same lines, but I mainly quit playing those originally because of the level of difficulty. But, i guess i got better or something.

Anyway, middle of the night, nothing to do, maybe a game or something on tv.
